Swedish M-41

Hello..

I own a mint condition Swedish Mauser M-41 sniper rifle with the M44 scope and the original caps. Can anyone give me a ballpark idea of how much it is worth to a collector? I would take pictures of it but it is all apart for cleaning.

Get some pics of the parts while you're cleaning. Knowing what it looks like under the wood can help.

Also, info on :

serial and other markings
Overall bluing
stock condition
optic condition
barrel condition
other pertinent info

will all help get a ballpark figure.

You can expect over 1 500.00 $, some are even asking 2 700.00 $ on some website.

They usually go for 1 250.00 $ to about 2 200.00 $ for a matching rifle, including the scope mount # matching both parts.
A totally matching rifle, (including the matching cleaning rod, wich is rare) would go for the very high end (I guess in that case, 2 700.00 $ would not be overpriced for a "real" collector). But I personally didn't see many going over 1 500.00 $.
Yours is really complete, too.
These rifles are far from being common.
Is there a unit number or a name written on the back of the sling?

Do you have a top picture of the rear sight?
It looks to me that it's a M/41B sight (same for front sight). Is it written SM Sikte F-ram M/55 on top of the front sight?

Even in service, it was not that rare to find rifles with unmatching parts.

You have what is considered as being one of the best sniping scope of that era. The scope s/n by itself should not match the base s/n nor the rilfe.

Congratulations for this very nice piece of history and great shooter. It's a keeper for sure.
