Today tested the following reloading data:

IMR 4350, 42gr
Sierra 142 gr HPBT
Dominion Primer
PPU fire formed case

1907 Swedish M96, military open sight.

300 yards, 5 shots.

I read many saying 4350 is best for 6.5x55 and seems it is.

The swedes are greatly underappreciated. I only got to shoot mine at 100 yards but it would consistently shoot under 2moa with irons at 100 yards with just about every bullet and powder combo I could put through it. 40gr of bl-c(2) under a 129gr sst was my favourite load.

That's not too shabby. I have about 20 milsurps and my M96 and M38 are by far the best shooters. I have shot out to 400 yards and done pretty well with them.

nice and some info on reloading for a m96 as I just picked up an 1899 at my local gun show today cant wait to make up a load and shoot it

N204 is what Norma uses for their factory loads apparently .......AKA...RE19...........42gr of either N204 or IMR 4350 and a 156-160 gr bullet was scary accurate and killed a lot of deer and moose for me......RE22 and IMR 4350 for the 129-140gr bullets....Harold

Norma 204 is some where between 4350 and 4831. I think people use 140 gr bullet most for 6.5x55 reloading.
