Swedish M96

hi guys, I am developing loads for my m96 cutdownsporter rifle, but I rather call it M41b/38 Sniper rifle. lol

Right now I am having trouble to shoot accurately with my handloads. It certainly has potential to shoot accurately because of 1 moa with Prvi PPU ammo.
What I have is some remington 140gr sp bullet. I tried to load it with 4064 and varget but none of them goes below 1.5moa 5shots. I really appreciate it if somebody can share his loads data.
Maybe I should buy some premium bullet for handload.

My go to load in all my 6.5x55 rifles (carbines are a different animal) is as follows

43.5 grains of H4831
CC1 200 or BR2 primer
Hornaday 140 grain match bullets seated way out (10 thou off the lead, some of my guns I have to single feed as the magazine isn't long enough)
No crimp

I've also used Sierra 140 grain match kings with similar results. 120s work OK to but I find they fall apart once I stretch out the distance past 300m.

That load has shot sub moa for me for years from 100m all the way out to 500m.

Recoil is light and my brass lasts forever.

In my m38 carbine (thanks again Kjohn) I'm using Sierra 120 grain prohunters, cc1 primers and the starting charge of imr 3031 from one of my books. It's slipped my mind what the charge is.

When I aquired my m38 I ran some of my match 140 grain loads through it. Shot about 1.5" at 100m. Not great but I figured a good starting point. My h4831 loads always perform in the 4 guns I feed it to. All those guns are long barreled rifles though so I decided to run some faster powder in my carbine.

I loaded 10 rounds of 3031 at the starting load with some 120s and went out side to test them.

I shot the first 5 and went to the target to have a look.

All 5 were touching in a sub moa cluster. I then shot 5 more and again the rifle stacked them on top of each other.

Testing was over at that point.

I've yet to have great results with 4064 or varget in the swede. Loads have been good but never great.

Going to give 3031 a try with 140s. Not listed in my load manual... anyone have recommended book load data for this combo? In an M38.

My manual is start 28 and max of 36 of 3031 I started at 28 and stopped at 32 when all the bullets were touching. If I do my part 20 rounds rapid fire in less than 3" at 100 yards.
