Swedish Mauser question

Had a Swedish Mauser model 38 given to me, have a question regarding the safety,
when in the upright position for operating the bolt while still on safe, is it
normal when the bolt is drawn back for the safety to flop over on its side as if
you are unscrewing the firing pin?

Yes it can happen if you tilt the rifle to the left well opening the bolt on on a warn rifle. Usually you only need light pressure to turn it though. There is no lock like on a Mauser 98.
