Thats a wild little device! Whole new take on dry fire practice but its hard to imagine it being used by the rank and file in any army.

In Canada we had the "Swift" training rifle. Sort of looked like an # 4 Enfield but pushed a pin out of the end of the barrel. Worked on the same idea but I think it was probably way easier to make that that beautifull contraption!
