You think that would loook good (or even FIT) my 870 express 18" ? I'm growing out of the tactical and into some wood

Don't even think about ordering from them !.I ordered a stock set and was told 10 weeks. After 10 I called and they said another 4-5 so after that I called agian and this time they said at least 11 months and the forend they don't even make.Try macon cutsoms,I put a post about them in the gunsmithing forum.Got my stock set in 1 1/2 weeks and really pleased with it and them !

I don't know. Personally, I think a shotgun with a thumbhole stock would look kinda wonky... There are plently of decent wood stocks out there if you're looking to dress it up in dead trees. Try to find yourself a set of the darker 870P Walnut - it looks pretty nice on 870's...

Any directions that you can point me in? If you can post some buisiness names or PM, I haven't explored it much but don't know of any sites with replacement stocks for my 870
I think it would look awesome with wood and the 18" barrel

Would Macon ofter competitive pricing? The one on Boyd's website is 48 USD
the price is not good enough if they can't deliver the product. Over 11 months for a shotgun stock is ridiculous.

I agree...Blonde wood looks very snappy too. I am a bit challenged to understand why you would want a thumb hole stock anyway? Ouch....Not really designed for SG usage...

My guess is that the shotgun thumbhole stocks are for the slug-hunting or turkey hunter crowd. Guess we don't see many of those guys here on the west coast. I believe Remington sells a factory version (870 SPS-T Camo Thumbhole). I never really thought about it before, but I think I could start to like that look (oh no, not another sg on the way I hope!).

Dunno... Maybe check Ebay. There are always wood 870P "take-off" stocks being sold on there. You can also check with ArwenAce on here. He must do lots of shotgun work - so I can only assume he would have some spare wood sitting in his shop...

I just ordered a varminter thumbhole from Boyds I wanted just the varminter but they said 90 days wait. I was in a hurry went with the thumbhole varminter. Ordered it on Friday it was at the post office the following Wednesday.. The website is cool it will tell you if they have it in stock.. 90 day wait if its not in stock.
