Sweet price on Rem 870 slug barrel at Cabela's until 20th July

Hey, wow yeah that's a nice price. Thanks for the heads up!

I've got a rem 870 express tactical. Does it make a difference which one I pick up? (sights vs cantilever mount) Or is this purely for sight purposes (ie fixed sights vs a pic rail to mount an optic to)?

I think the Remington "Special Field" model had a shorter magazine tube to enhance its handling qualities. If yours is stamped Special Field and has a short barrel and English style straight grip then regular 870 barrels will not work on it. The barrel ring will be in the wrong place. From Remington: The Model 870 Special Field has a shorter magazine tube and we have designed it for the 23 inch barrel. Other barrels will not fit the Model 870 Special Field.

No loss in my opinion. Your little Remington is too classy for a heavy aftermarket Mossturd barrel to be put on it anyways

Having some time to kill after I read the e-mail promoting the start of the new sale, I went to their site and looked through the nearly 1.800 individual items promoted. You know, in case they had something I needed for shooting. Or fishing. Or camping, hunting, boating, just generally good fashion, stuff for around the home… Cabela's is a place like Canadian Tire: you only buy what's in the sales flyer, not regular price.../ snip

Clearance sale is still on, but probably sold out on the site. Individual stores might still have stock; I was in Moncton yesterday and they had two out on the floor. Maybe they ship them between stores for you?

No Fair! I ordered mine before all y'all, and didn't have it until today! Anyway, everything looks to be in order, and now I have a sighted slug barrel for my Wingmasters, when I don't want to shoot the scoped one.

There's something really satisfying about looking through a pipe almost 3/4" in diameter with rifling, and knowing the big hunks of game-dropping missiles it will be sending out at your command.
