Well I've been on the lookout for one of these puppies for 25 years and finally one surfaced. Scored a beauty of a Remington model 600 in .35 Remington. It's in awesome shape inside and out. Metal, bore, rifling and bluing I'd put at 96% and I'm fussy. The only two items of note are two small screw holes on the bottom of the forward stock where the original sling mount would have been and no factory irons. I love .35's and 600's (have had some in .308 and .243) but was on the hunt for a .35 for years so I'm pretty tickled. Near as I can gather it's a 1960's manufacture and even came with vintage 200 grain ammo. Does anyone out there in CGN land own one of these?

Have one? I've never even seen one! But wow, looks a nice rifle! I've never seen a bolt action with a vent rib before, but I gotta say, It looks pretty sharp! Good score!

Nicely done! I saw that rifle posted, but not until it had already been sold. Do you plan to source the original factory sights and sling studs? I also like those boxes of Dominion --- great score!

Having been a fan of the 35 Rem, I know a number of people have wanted bolt actions chambered in it, if only to allow them to load the 35 Rem above the standard lever action pressures. I have a Marlin in 356 Winchester, so that's the route that I decided to go instead.

Still, I have a real soft spot in my heart for the 35 Rem.

Will likely leave it minus irons as I'll scope it and not bother with the old school sling mounts. I'm hoping its a good shooter (all the other 600's I had we're quite accurate) and it is as light as a feather. I'd guess 5.5 lbs as is.

Ya. I was pretty shocked to find it myself and I certainly trade my share of guns around. Actually my share and a few other people's, lol.

Congrats.Looks familiar . Seller maybe 7mm something handle??. Glad it went to a good home since I know where it would have been if I had of spent my old usual time on that site. Seen it too late
She is sweet, enjoy it

Sweet rifle ;).It would have been produced between 64 and 67.i have seen several in 6mm ,243 and 308 the 35 doesn't seen to be as common.there will be a 2 letter date code on the left side of the barrel in front on the receiver.

LOL, Yep you are correct 3macs1!

I don't collect them but knew enough when I seen it to try to grab it. Real glad you got it especially now knowing it was 25 years you have been looking for one. I went through that with a matched set of 1100's. Sold one like an idiot in the 70's and finally found a set here after 30 plus years. take care :)

Yep if I had every gun back that I should have kept I'd have had to add on to my house 3 or 4 times already, lol.

Date code says 1965 year of manufacture.

Congrats Eagle160 - saw it too just after it sold (did't see the sticker price). Rare bird I've been looking for about as long. I'd look for original sights to complete the package. The shark's fin front sight is distinctive.

A few were rechambered to 358Win including one owned by American writer Layne Simpson. Don't recommend that - I'm just saying.

I've got an all original M600/350 RemMag with the laminated stock and it weighs a little more (6.5 lbs) cause of the heavier glued stock I suppose. They are somewhat scarce - but not as scarce as the 35Rem ones. Here's mine giving a small bear a pass - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6oHQ0NBQbk

Nice. I like the idea of a .35 Rem in a bolt action. I'm putting one together on a Savage action. Got all the parts now, just need to bolt them together.
