Alternative: bring them in via an importer like IRG.
Strange. I wonder if Canadian sales just weren't strong enough to justify the costs and headaches of the red tape, to renew the export permits? Hopefully they reconsider.Yet they still list Australia, New Zealand, and the UK as destinations for export...
Prophet River will also import optics. $50 per item. I guess if a guy purchases during one of SWFA's big sales, even with the increased import costs and wait times, the value is still really good.Really? I already own one SWFA SS and I would like another in the future. Will keep this in mind, thank you.

Not if it's an ITAR/EAR (Export Arms Restrictions; ITAR is State Dept., EAR is Commerce, the latter much more permissive usually than the former) issue.
SWFA’s site could be better and have more info, for sure. AFAIK, all the SWFA rifle scopes are Japanese manufacture, except the 1-4. It’s made in the Philippines and doesn’t have as solid a reputation as the rest of Classic and HD lines.Sad thing is their scopes don't say where they were made on them.
