swipe cards to activate traps?

Silver Willow uses Briley's iPull system.

You pre-load your card. You can also add a delay or voice control to your card. It is wireless.

It's a pretty slick system. First time I used it was Saturday, we had one glitch where the controller wouldn't read the card, took it out put it back in and away we went. It should be an excellent system for members of clubs. They can buy the targets when they are open and shoot anytime. Win/win for both shooters and the range.

I used the longrange target key system (red/blue plastic key with a chip on the end). when i was at fishhawk sporting clays down in florida. fun course and great people.
you can set it for count up and you pay when you get in based on what the card shows or count down where you pay for so many rounds which are put on the card and when you are out of credits the machine quits throwing.
the unit worked flawlessly for my 250 targets thrown. They go on the honor system and ask if you had any broken birds and charge for what you shot.
the only downside was that a few times i forgot the key in the controller and only realized when i got to the next station. without it you don't shoot. you are entitled to shoot as many targets at any station as it just keeps counting.
Now dont hold me to this but cost wise i believe they run about $900 for a trap or skeet field, i am not sure about sporting clays. its on our club's wishlist.
