Hi there,
I recently picked up an okay condition Swiss 1878 Revolver to go along with my Swiss 1882 and my Colt 1877. I reload .41 LC and 44 Russian currently so I’m familiar with the process but by no means an expert. After doing some research I ordered .41 rem mag cases to be cut down to size, however procuring a decent projectile appears to be an issue. Does anybody stock or supply a suitable heel base bullet? Has anybody had luck with a hollow base alternative, if there even is such a thing? These revolvers are pretty common in Canada as far as antiques go, so hopefully somebody has some input?
Id really prefer to not start casting my own if possible, as I have limited space. The bore is .428 so could/has anyone had any luck getting the chamber modified to accept bullets the same diameter as the bore? Could this be done? (by a qualified gunsmith)
