i guess its about time i comment on my own post. 1 of my 4 41 swiss will be converted to centerfire.ofcourse it will be one that has been sporterized in its long ago past. 4bolt bodies,4 rifles,2 original military,2 bubbadized so i guess i have parts.plan to find some more.military and civilian versions. i shoot almost everything i own. guns are made toshoot, so shoot them.
Just to fuel the fire here....
When we were cleaning up Gramma's house before the new renters moved in I went through the attic and found some neat treasures, one thing being her brother's note book from the 1930's. In there he wrote down buying 41 Swiss 'shells'. That's all it took to peak my interest and it wasn't long before our very own Andy here had me set up with a real dandy.
Have taken it hunting several times since and even filled a tag with my 3 year old in tow.
These rifles are great fun and shoot quite well too. If only some outfit had the cast bullets available as I haven't the time to learn that just yet.
