I am looking at getting another semi auto in 223, which is more accurate, would't mind spending the money to get something decent, any info on Accuracy and reliable between the two would be helpful, looking at getting the non restricted model!

I'd say the Swiss Arms is both more accurate and more reliable. I've never had a fail to feed or fail to extract on the Swiss Arms and you can reach out to 300 yds easily with iron sights.

Both are excellent guns. I've never had a failure with either gun, and have owned both. I prefer the Swiss Arms:

1) Feels more solid (the SL8 feels cheap).
2) Has a better trigger.
3) Is easily as accurate, if not more so, especially with a 1 in 7 barrel.
4) Has better iron sights.
5) Has better resale value (SL8s are a ##### to sell, since there were so many new ones in the $1600 to $1800 range a couple of years ago)

If cost is a concern, then the SL8 might be a better value.

I had a change to buy one from UngleWalther 2year ago!(at a good price!).

Oh yeah... I think I had a brand new, unfired Black Special for $2599. Prices are up. But, I do have an unfired Classic Green with a 1 in 7 barrel. You can have the Alberta discount... send me a PM if interested.

Gunboy, don't lolligag on Uncle's offer. He is great to deal with and is offering one hell of a gun! Jump on it if you can you won't regret it. I own 3 and am looking for a few more. SAN's that is.

I've got a Classic Green and recently took a SL8 in on trade on a deal. I put a mag through it and said.. "meh". Nice enough gun, but having owned both the SAN is just so much more. If you've got the $$ for a SL8, save a little more and get a lot more in return.

..BTW, owning a SAn will make you say "meh" to everything else.. We're all bastards. Jump in and join the club, you won't look back.

To my knowledge, the Sig rifles won't be approved for transport into the US whereas I can confirm the SL8 will be ATF be approved. I grabbed an SL8 during the price dip, so the rifle plus dual optic was the same as Sig rifle with irons.

Although I must say I did have the chance to fire a Sig and they are fantastic rifles.

The Swiss Arms is much easier to field-strip as well - no special tools necessary, except maybe a round of ammo, if that. Because its so easy to take-down, I can get the Black Special and Carbine both with optics in the same case. When I had my SL8, I found that it was very tall with a scope mounted and took up most of the real-estate in the same case. When shooting from the standing position, I prefer the balance and weight distribution of the SL8 over the Black Special. The stock on the SL8 is more comfortable as well. You can modify the mag well of the SL8 to accept AR mags which is an advantage with the availability of 10 rnd AR pistol mags. The Swiss Arms is limited to 5 rnds AFAIK. I don't know if anyone reloads, but the the Swiss Arms puts quite a crimp in the neck of the brass. Overall, I prefer the Swiss Arms.

I had both, and found the swiss DID feel more solid BUT the SL-8 shot a little better, neither shot fantastic but they were good.
I won't go into the "I love my AR speech" you're obviously looking for something non restricted. My vote would be the SL-8.
Neither trigger was real good but i'm used to something alot different.

Swiss arms are much easier to clean, tear down and have better ergonomics for shooting. I have 3 swiss arms and wouldn't buy and HK for $300. resale resale resale
