Any news on the subject of a Swiss Arms .308 semi-auto non restricted? I recall a thread and pics about a year ago or more ... just curious?

We are getting our sample sometime in june/july for FRT classification.

Don't worry, we'll keep everyone posted.

From your link this would be TSE? I'm curious if Swiss Arms will make a heavy barrel sniper version like they did with the .223?

The RCMP has a rifle in their possession and are examining it for FRT classification. Not sure when a final decision will be made.

What are you guys talking about you just need to buy ammo when its available i got 3 huge cases of SA ammo when wolverine was selling it its out there it just gets put on sale ever couple years so you need to be on your toes.

I wanna see one and purchase as if it's anything as close to the quality on my 223 version it's going to be a keeper. I would definately use it for hunting ... ;) :D

.308 is easy to find it's just expensive, especially if you want to shoot a lot.

+1

It does suck taking out the m14 and only being able to put 200 rounds through it at a time unless I'm only shooting the m14 in which case I might push 300-400 rounds, but then I don't go back to the range for another couple months.

Reloading .308 is the key.

Easy fix:

Go buy a Dillon 650 progressive press with case feeder, all the bulk .308 Win Brass you can find, scrounge, beg, borrow or steal; buy your 150gr FMJ bulk bullets in case lots and hit up Higginson's for a big-arse bulk surplus powder order and don't forget the primers!

Buy in big enough volume and you can shoot .308 very, very affordably. Upfront costs may seem a little daunting at first, but if you do any amount of shooting, the equipment and components will pay for themselves in a season or two of shooting.

What you load yourself will be far more accurate than any surplus ammo you're likely to find these days - even with bulk FMJ.

it absolutely sucks that it'll be a $5000 rifle but at least we'll have 1 black .308 semi in the country
