Swiss Arms/ Aimpoint CompM4s

while we're at it, anyone have any experience with an EOtech on his SAN ? how's the clearance for the charging handle?

I like the the T1 best on the Swiss carbine or CQB and no charging handle issues with it or the Larue mount.

Maybe but the CompM4s with the factory spacer doesn't cause any problem at all with the charging handle.

IF the T1 would be made with a 2 moa dot, I would have gone with it without any hesitation. But since it's not made, I went with the smaller dot.

What's nice with the 2 moa dot of the 4s, is that when you decrease it's visibility with the switch, it's seems like it is getting smaller, almost like a 1 moa dot. Very nice for shooting from the bench or prone at longer distances.

The T1 is a 3moa dot, so its not that bad

I have one of these T1s, I have heard from several knowledgeable type people that its actually a 3moa dot size. I have a regular aimpoint with a 4moa and my T1 seems fractionally smaller.

What do you think about the dot size?

The T-1 is closer to 3MOA than 4MOA. For non believers during demos we put a T-1 Micro and a CompM4 (2MOA) on the same rail and turn both to normal daytime settings. You will not be able to discern a significant difference in dot size.

There was a batch of T-1s made with 2MOA dots for a military end user but that was one time run.

Was wondering, I thought you might know the answer to this. I have the T1 micro and have tried it mounted with my Gen 2+ NV Scope. I have noticed that on the lower 1-4 settins supposively for NV I get alittle bit of burn in on the NV scope afterwards from the dot, but if I try it at like settings 1 or 2 I cant see the dot at all? The tube is average on my scope and it only has a few hours on it?

Any idea on this one?

Yep, I'm running one with a magnifier and it's deadly. I love it.

I prefer the larger dot on my CQB rig, but for +100m that little 2moa is super.

Whats really cool about the Larue LT660 is I drilled a 1/2 hole through the mount and now I can still use the factory sights looking through the hole.

I`ll try and get a picture of it this weekend. Heres one of it folded,I made the Magpul lock on the tab just like the original Swiss arms folder.

OZZ how do find the Micro with the high mount? I have both the high and low Larue mounts. Is the low to low and gets blocked? Thought the high might be to far up. Have you tried the in between medium mount for the Micro?

The high is the only one I have and now has a 1/2 hole thru it so I can use the diopter sight.

I dont find the high mount with the T1 bad at all, just a slight adjustment on the cheek.

this is how 551 should look:

otherwise no better than dirty tacticool ar-15, which are a dime a dosen. :D

2 moa, 3 moa, 4 moa....

I just wonder why Aimpoint says it's a 4 moa when users find it's smaller than that. There must be a reason for that...?

All I can say is that I like the M4s and it will probably come with me overseas somewhere in 2010. Too bad I won't be able to bring my SIG as a back up with real mag. I'll have to rely, I think, on the RCMP'S ####ty S&W....
