I know there is a point of aim shift on a swiss arms when using the bipod.

Is there a shift when the bayonet is mounted?

Likewise has anyone found a shift in the SG 540 with using a bipod or a bayonet?

My Swiss classic green flat top had a 5 moa poi shift when switching from the bipod to supporting it in front of the magwell. To me that was too much flex in a rifle so I sold it. Other than that it was a very well built rifle. I do wish I had kept it a little longer to do some more accuracy testing with different ammo, the AE black box printed around 3-4moa off of sandbags, I can only assume that it was capable of doing better with quality ammo.

It's a non free float rifle technically it's not meant to shoot off the folding bipod, regardless if you find internet photos of someone shooting off the bipod. If left on at all, its best only used for keeping it off mud and snow.

I got my CG down to a solid MOA with handloads.

I'm working on some new loads using Berger 70gr VLD match bullets for my NR Herron rebarreled flat top Carbine, and one of my loads seems to be very promising. 5 rounds in 0.6MOA. Naturally I will be loading more to confirm that this will be achievable consistently, as well as play with seating depth.

I did also notice a shift in POI when using the bi-pod. Generally this was a non-issue to me as you're not allowed bi-pods in Service Rifle.

I use the bipod only for setting the rifle down in the dirt as yes, there is a POI change when shooting off the bipod. I shoot off the mag and find the rifle to be an excellent shooter when used in that fashion.

The only POI change you will notice with the bayo mounted is between the shoots with and without, if you keep it mounted they won't change while its' mounted.
These rifles are very sensitive to poi shift when using the bipod which is why the technique while using the bp is practiced and perfected. Its not hard to get consistent when paying attention.
