Hey guys, a buddy of mine has a line on a replacement barrel for his Classic green and might buy it for a spare if he wears out his original. I don't know so much much about these guns. Is a barrel change as easy as it is on an AR?

It looks like it just threads into the receiver and the bolt locks into channels in the receiver rather than the locking lugs on the barrel extension of an AR. From what I see it looks like you would just drift out two pins on the gas block and unthread the barrel and install the new one right? How does one headspace properly?

Thanks,

I've done it at home but it is not as simple as an AR15 and those barrels are really torqued on. I had to use a large very well mounted bench vise, large wrench with about a 3 foot idiot extension, some heat, and some home made bits to hold/support the trunnion so that it was not damage in the process. It worked out but I'd likely just send it to a proper smith if I did it again.

I should have taken photos of doing it but this is the only one I think I took:
