Swiss arms barrel non-removeable flash hiders?

I'm in the process of contacting Herron Arms and see what they say about threading the barrel. I'll keep you guys posted.
 
Herron Arms indicated this should be do-able. They noted that it would need to employ a crush washer rather than a castel nut system to keep it in the NR length. This sounds good.
 
The flashhider on the PE90 is about 2'' long so by cutting it down, with a 1'' A2 flash hider and barrel cut by 1.5'' give or take would bring it down in length quite a bit. I guess is this fesible unless its cracked or somethin, that's the question?

There was a guy on CGN who screwed up his barrel by cutting it down, that's the last I heard and was looking for a replacement.
