Hey OP ! Al Simmons gun shop in Hamilton have the top rails in stock.. at least they did few weeks ago when i bought mine... they also have 20 or 30 rd mags for sale, give them a call.

And relax, we all been through this.. I asked some real stupid questions when i joined this forum, and i still do sometimes :) . Just be ready for all kinds of answers and don't get offended. You have no idea how often same stupid questions
come up, we even have a schedule already, slide-fire Thursdays, SKS bulpup stocks Fridays, shooting in to space Saturdays and so on :)

Over all this site is absolutely awesome, and i learned a lot from here. Quitting will not do you any good. Cheers.

Even boss35cleveland suggessted reading the stickys for good info. Most of the time OP's like this are answered a lot harsher than this, people are mentioning slide fire stocks and people flat out laugh in there face (For good reason) Or what about shooting into space, that one takes the cake, people burned that guy alive, and rightfully so, what an idiot, LOL, "Can I shoot into Space?" No one did that to this OP. I think he's gotten of pretty easy, and learned a valuable lesson for a cheap price. Not to mention he got the answers to his original questions quite quickly, from more than one person.

I too was a newb at one point. I went through and deleted some of my old posts, only the really bad one's though, some are still there my god they were/are embarrassing!!!

What can ya do?

We need to be a little more tolerant of new people, I didn't know the difference between a clip and a mag when I first joined.
I bet 90% of new members don't know about it.
Fortunately for me, I found out without being publicly ridiculed.

I don't get it though??? When was anyone intolerant of him? At least until he showed his true colors!

I still say he wasn't ridiculed public or otherwise, until he responded like a complete tool, I mean, he got the answers to his questions. Plus was warned about terminology without being flamed brutally as is common place on CGN

a boyfriend of a relative thqt took a pal course years back was ftelling me the same crap about pistol gri, that's retarded!

I last year folloed a very good and informative rpal course. the instructors were long time , shoother and people in the trade. I hilly respect there knowledge. ... but even so was told hollow point handgun ammo was prohibited and 32 acp even in carbine was prohibited (meet scorpion?) just last week a concervatio officer told my uncle its illegal to hunt with a sks... the msinformation is massive!
 
Well that escalated quickly... to the OP: don't worry about the flaming. Some of these guys are industry experts, police, military, burger flippers, and weekend warriors. All huddled up together making beard and koolaid jokes :) Take your flaming as your initiation, and keep asking questions even if you get punched in the #### for it. We were all new once so don't give up. Welcome to CGN :D

do we know each other? lol I heard that in my course.
 
This particular forum has seen a drastic increase in new members (Moderators included) in the last couple of years, and a rash of brand new ones in the last several months. With that I think there is a considerable upswing in younger shooters (i suppose that is a good thing) as the maturity in some of the threads has taken a sharp decline (not so good thing).
It would make sense for the new members to be reminded to kindly read the FAQs and stickies as there is a lot of repeatedly asked questions in those posts, and other members to maybe formulate their posts as if they were talking to someone face-to-face.
 
My instructor told us hollow point ammo was completely legal, he stressed it specifically AND had a question relating to it on the final exam.

See you guys have got it, you were taught wrong by legit instructors, and I was taught right, by a convicted embezzler!!! (Of course he was convicted long after he taught the PAL course) It makes perfect sense!;)

Ask all who know me, I'm a pretty blunt kind of guy, I say what I'm thinking, it often get's me in trouble but I say it. Everything I've said to the OP would be very much the same were I in the same room with him.

Yep like the corrupt Instructor in the Lower Mainland that was selling completed PAL course certificates for $500 without ever holding a course at all ,, there are lots of people in the Vancouver area issued PALs that never took a course or even looked at the text book .. i forget his name , he was a east indian fellow.

Youtube Hickok45. Go to vid about Mags and Clips. He explains it in a gentle southern hospitality kinda way, sorta grandfatherly like.

You will get no such touchy feely in this forum!!!

There is a difference in being blunt and being ignorant.
Most people have an internal gauge they use to help guide them in judging mood, circumstances, body language, etc. in communicating with others. Unless you suffer from an ailment such as Tourette's, you likely use this judgement in your daily life too - or maybe you get punched in the face a lot.
