I understand the desire for this rifle, but I've read literally nothing but negative reviews of the 556R.

I get the appeal if NR was a priority, but for me and my range-only ability, my Mutant is more than fine.

The mutant will sweet ya but AR's all look the same the 553r is a deferent beast.

Not suggesting 7.62x39 SAN is an invalid concept.
But I'm wondering a couple of things:
(1) 5.56 is better at reaching out reasonably accurate to medium range, 400 to 500m. Which is a valid use for the full length SAN.
(2) The way ammo are going, 5.56/223 might turn out to be a more reliably sourced caliber in the long run.
