Swiss Arms Carbine and long range scope?

the perfect optic if under a 100M is a red dot or eotech, any magnification then a 1-4 NF or S & B or Leupy or Elcan or or or, the question that started this thread was what magnification would be good for variety. I have an aimpoint comp m4 on a cqb, a nf 1-4 on a carbine and change things out on the the classic green. It is actually fun to put high magnification on these rifles to see what they are capable of. Of course a 5.5-22 is overkill but so what, this is about fun at this stage.

I like both the carbines. I had to pay a premium over normal prices to fish the flat-top carbine off the EE, so I will likely never part with it. I spent a lot of time shooting the 14.3 last year, at the range, and also in a couple of 3-gun matches. Very nice gun.

Its just to early for me to tell if I prefer the LB or Std Carbine.

I've yet to run my Carbine really hard, and running it on a course is the only way I figure I'd work that out for sure.

But from a relative rarity standpoint, you're a lucky bastard to have all 3 in your safe.

You are one lucky guy to have all those...I hope you find the flattop black special soon. ;)

I think a 1-4 optic would be the height of versatility on that long barrel. Other then that, a fixed 6 or 8 would be good too.

The flat top Carbine would work but as you know you'll take a loss in velocity and range. Here's a black target with a 6.5-20x 50mm scope (Yes, I wish I has the 5/20 rounders instead of the 30 for it).
