Did any Swiss Arms carbines with the 17" barrel come into Canada with the receiver mounted low profile "target" rail instead of the rear diopter turret sight? I am looking for this version of the Carbine with black furniture.

Like he says above, imported by TSE some years back.

Only available on the second hand market these days (rarely, if ever).

Good luck finding one... maybe you could special order that configuration but I wouldn't hold my breath.

You can always buy black furniture, although it'll cost you ~$500 for the full set (trust me).

You could get a Black Special Target and a 14" CG Carbine and barrel-swap. :p

A certain somebody on these boards seems to be gearing up to do just that...

Cheers

It's a nice platform but due to the difference in height of the rail and the stock you may need cheekpiece depending on type of rings or mount you're using.

On mine with a Larue miniacog mount, I had to use a chin weld to look through it.

I'm currently using a Larue 1.93 mount for a Leupold MRT. With the cheek piece the extra height of the 1.93 lines up perfectly.

Chin weld with a flattop and ACOG? Good to know...

I had to chin it with a B&T rail and TA31F on my CQB, but figured you'd be good for cheek weld with the flattop.
