Swiss Arms cheek rest

I've replaced my scope mount with lower profile one. I think I might can get away without the rest after all, but it's coming anyways.

Thought I'd reserect the thread for kicks as I never thought in my wildest dreams I'd pay this much for a piece of plastic.

Got it from Gun Factory. The service buying by e-mail through to delivery at my door was as good as it gets.

I'd be curious to know if anyone has actually ordered from Waffen Hiendlmayer before please?

I am wondering why it is not stamped with the SIG insignia despite it being essentially OEM and solid? I imagine these are made by another OEM manufacturer aside from SAN? Never asked whether or not it was a genuine Sig item when I bought it and I'm not worried about. I know there's a few places one can get these things and there not only seems to be differing incarnations of the things but the price can differ 50% also.

I have an Airsoft riser I got as part of an order because it was available but I'm not going to use it on my guns for a number of reasons. There is a lot of difference "under the hood" between the OEM riser and the Airsoft item. It will be for sale on the EE as soon as I get around to posting.

Anyway, enough blathering and here are some poor photos.

Good post!

May i ask that you show the 2 side by side for comparison please?

I heard the airsoft one comes off easily. True?

The Airsoft one will come off "less easily" than the OEM riser due to the "teeth" and general method of attachment employed by the Airsoft unit. Frankly, I started to try to put the Airsoft unit on my stock and quickly stopped because it is obvious that putting it on and taking it off once would make one's stock look like a dog chewed on it. Maybe I'm just too fussy..?

The Airsoft is actually more plastic, thicker and pushing half a centimeter longer. They are two different animals.

By request, here are a few side by side shots for your viewing pleasure.

Again, anyone interested in a "SIG" Airsoft Cheek Riser, PM me in the meantime.

EDIT: I read through the thread again and you guys were asking about price. Mine was ordered a couple of weeks ago and it was CAD$291 to my door in Vancouver. There ya' go. Read it and weep, I almost did. It's a damn nice piece of plastic though... ;)

Unless I'm mistaken, Swiss Arms does not make the plastic furniture for their rifles, they have other companies make them under contract, either Weidmann Plastics Technology or Allemann AG.
