Swiss Arms - Class action lawsuit

Does anyone remember that news report that came out a few months ago about government talks going on to make these guns illegal? I recall that the other type of rifle being discussed was .50 BMGs. I remember because I just about went out and ordered on so I could get my hands on one before they became restricted or prohibited as I figured if they became prohib and I already owned one I could get a POL. I betcha they're coming after the 50's next!

Let's not just sign a petition, folks. On-line petitions are mostly ignored, as the 'signature' demonstrates that the online petitioner is NOT highly enough motivated to bother to write a letter.

A form letter is only slightly more powerful than an on-line petition signature. Individual letters guys. you know, snail mail. Or at least an email. Something that proves you care enough to know who your MP is, and who the Minister is, and that you will take five minutes to write something original. These they count as strong multiples of public opinion.

Surely we have one political science student amongst our ranks to give us the current teaching on the matter of how public sentiment is assessed in the PMO - the only office that matters in our current bastardization of democracy.

I'm off to sign the petition, because even if it mostly discounted, it can't be completely ignored. But I am researching details to provide a factual letter to those in power. Or, at least, those who assume they are in power until the RCMP tell them they are not!
