How many are there and what classifications? How much do they cost?

I know the CQB is restricted. How long is the barrel?
The black, green and blue are non restricted ( I know that much) What is the barrel length. Can that be shortened without going to a restricted model?

There is also an other one that is in between but I can't find much about it. What is it called? How long is the barrel? is it restricted? Are they for sale in Canada?

Actually, there are two carbines...the regular one...at 16", and a small number with the 14.3" barrel. I happen to have one and love it.
 
PS They are not SIG 550, 551 or 552. that would make them prohib, they are the SIG Black Special (rifle, carbine and CQB) Etc. I think this issue has been discussed numerous times.

Fox bat, is the 16inch barrel restricted? It's bad enough for handguns, I can't stand rifles being restricted (if I can help it).
 
Howdy

Just get the the full length rifle. It's non restricted. With the folding stock, it's compact when traveling with the rifle, and you get all the velocity advantages a full length barrel gives. The accuracy of the AR, reliability of an AK, quality Swiss manufacturing, gee, what's not to like?

There's also the sniper variant and a couple odd-coloured bastards like the Red Devil and Brown Eye or some goofy names like that.

And to be even more pedantic they are not SIG either, they are SAN (Swiss Arms).

Yes, but the other question that is burning me up is when will they come in another caliber besides .223... 6.8 or 6.5 in a Swiss rifle would be AWESOME deer medicine!

Funny you mention hunting. That's another reason why I want one. 5.56mm is ok for deer. It is fast enough and there is a good chance of penetrating an animal all the way through. If it doesn't it will likely shatter the bones and kill it any how.

Some might argue that the ammo used is too light. Hmmmmm deer don't wear armor or magazines strapped in front of their chest. From past experience it does work very well.

But you are right, different caliber would be nice if the rest of the gun can take it. I also fantasize on different length barrels too. Some thing just above the legal length would be handier.

Quite likely correct... However many provinces have a .23 caliber minimum and therefore .223/5.56 is not useable for deer.

Still would make an excellent coyote/gopher rifle as is though.
