Swiss arms help???

There was a upgrade way back for the CQB a nylon guide rod instead of the metal one,I guess if it ever bound up the new guide rod would flex and not casue any damage.

That's exactly what Laval's ERT experienced with their 552 F/A. I think now it's been fixed.

OK I have a classic green and love it much much more than my AR but I need a shorty cqb gun and I was looking at the swiss CQB but I herd some bad reports from some guys at my range last night about the cqb version but they are far from what I would call black rifle experts, now had they giving me advice on a O-U shotgun then Id believe them....

What do you Pro's think???? is the CQB as GOOD OR BETTER THEN THE FULL SIZE??? any info I should know about it before buying???

Thanks CGN'ers

Guerrilla, I have 3, classic green, carbine, and cqb. classic green and carbine have similar length gas pistons and are a dream to shoot, smooth no recoil, stay on target etc etc and never malfunction. The cqb on the other hand has a gas piston half the length with double the gas pressure when the trigger is pulled, it has exactly half the service life of the longer gas piston guns and is exactly twice as much fun to shoot, bucks like a horse but is an absolute hoot to shoot, its the one I wouldn't sell, if it breaks I will have it fixed. I shoot anything through it and let everyone at the range shoot it all the time, its a blast, buy one and don't sell it. No malfunctions with any of my 3 ever.

Oh ya forgot to answer the real question, it is not a better gun than the longer versions as it does wear faster due to higher gas pressures (more internal violence) so its a worse gun and won't last as long. But who cares!

I believe there is a "Classic Green Sniper" version in the Precision Rifle section of the E.E., selling for $9,500.00.

Here it is: http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=398506

I don't think I paid that much for the Black Special, Carbine and CQB combined!

How come the "Factory Test Target" cost another 7 grand on that? What is that?

Edit: Oh I see, he has 2 rifles - one used, one not - and one comes with a factory test target.

It's a seller's market. There is only about 10 in the country. The retailed for exactly $5K at TSE, years back, if I remember correctly. It's no different than the G36. The few that squeaked in retailed for $3K when they were being sold by the dealers. I paid $6K for mine and it was well used. I see some now being offered up at $8K and $9K. And, people are buying.

Yep, pretty rare. A lot of cash for a precision .223 rifle though.

That would get you an amazing .308 or .338LM or 416 type gun / optics.

Still - the SAN lover in me is tempted.

I think you will soon find the SAKO TRG's in that same category, buy one while you still can. The sig snipers are priced only for collectors now and with the 1 in 10 twist barrels are only marginally more accurate than the 1 in 7 20 inch barrels. pretty cool guns though.
