Swiss Arms Mags

Holding fund for escrow is not something that can be carried out by a 3rd party easily. In Canada, essentially only lawyers can do it.

I strongly discourage running this kind of scheme - the last big bang, aka Ares Defence Shrike, turned into a 5 years drag with no products being delivered. I have never seen one of these schemes turned out in happy ending.

Just my 2 cents.

Hey Dave,

What are the chances you can set up an escrow account? Hold funds in trust for those who want to buy the receivers and release certificate to each allotment. Time limit it to one year for funding the build. If it doesn't happen the funds return to source.

Even better, could someone like CSSA or NFA do this without violating their operating charter? Facilitate development of a new product line grown here in Canada without causing a primary manufacturer concerns they normally don't deal with?

Who knows.

Maybe we can get close enough in numbers to convince one or two vendors here in Canada to help foot the final tally. (5 to this guy in Western Canada for future sales, 5 to this one over in the East).

Food for thought.

Yeah.. not my idea of a good venture. Too many problems.. almost always something happens.

The Swiss arms upper will fit on the 556 Lower however the trunion area has to be machined out to allow the AR-15 style mag to sit the correct height to feed correctly.
I have observed one from Questar that they assembled and had been machined in that area, it did work flawlessly once the maching was done.

I didnt machine anything out of mine.. Mags feed correctly. Maybe my lower is a oddity, but it was plug-and-play.

As for Canadian made SA AR lowers, they're going to be drawn up, tested and it'll be given a shot.

They work with P-mags and Colt style Ar mags without the relief cut all the other mags need either the relief cut on the trunion OR a relief to the magazines.

I'm in for this endeavour all the way, guarantee a purchase of at least one set, but PLEASE keep all parts original Swiss!!

Hope no modifications will be required to the upper or anywhere else to accept the lower and LAR-15 mags.

whats the price going to be?

i noticed that co gun has them complete for 649
