I did a search but there seems to be very little detail on these.

Anyone know how much these are worth and where you can get them? Experiences? (how much better than a stock trigger - which is already great BTW) Adjustable? Anyone got pics?

What is involved in installing one? Just a drop in kind of deal hopefully!

there is a chap in the U.S building a match trigger for the 556 platform have no idea if it will fit the SAN, suspect it will but no gauarntess, sigarms556 is the forum where you can find the info. 7art is the handle of the chap building the trigger, was working with Sig USA.

Man I never felt the need to change even a norinco m4 trigger...I think there is such a thing as a "trigger whore" because although my swiss trigger is fantastic, it shoots the same as any ar.

I really do not see the need for a fancy trigger unless you are precision shooting

How do they compare?

Yea that was what I was wondering because I have seen a few included in package deals on the EE recently but they were not installed - just included separately.

I know the existing trigger is really good but is the match one adjustable or something? Just looking for experiences from someone who has used both.

The factory triggers are good. To be fair though I find most AK triggers that I've messed with to be nicer...

The factory trigger could be a bit lighter if you're looking for precision, if you're looking for run and gun type shooting the factory trigger pretty much ideal.

I have one for my target model. However I haven't installed it yet. It was $80 and is supposed to lower the weight to 3 pounds. It was a private deal. I believe they were imported. We'll see how it works out.

I've installed mine. The trigger kit came from Germany. Not sure if you can still get them. When installed, the trigger does come down to about 3lbs. The SAN has a 2 stage trigger, and the kit really helps lighten up the initial stage (slack) and the trigger breaks clean and light. I have tested the trigger for safety by cocking the action and striking the butt stock on the floor to see if the hammer would fall... I haven't been able to do so.

For running and gunning, it would be better to keep the stock trigger though. For target or 'sniper' type shots, the kit really helps.

I have one on my Swiss Arms. It was one of the ones from Germany. World of difference. I can't see the upgrade being a disadvantage in any situation to be honest.

Wow, that's my comedy for tonight!

To be fair, the triggers on deacts are wonderfully crisp.

I had a match kit in my SAN a few years back. Ran it for a few hundred rounds and sold it. IMO the stock trigger kit is much better for the design of the rifle, and how I use it. It's not a precision rifle, it's a battle rifle (by design). Accept it for what it is and trust that Swiss engineers have done the leg work for you. I accept their expertise over my own. If I wanted to turn it into a bench rifle for some ungodly reason, it may have a place there.

I have 2 Swiss Arms and I had three East German AKs while I worked in Iraq. In addition I worked with AKs from just about every other eastern bloc manufacturer, with the exceptions being Russian, Polish, and Bulgarian.

I will unequivocally state that they all, with the exception of the domestically produced Tabuk, had better triggers than either of my Swiss Arms. The Swiss Arms are good triggers with a good clean break, but an AK trigger is all of that without the super heavy first stage.

A stock AK trigger will almost universally be better than a stock c-7/m-16/m-4 trigger.

Varminter/DMR actually. The target special makes it easy to do. I can't justify the 9K for the "sniper" model.

It makes a decent rifle for these purposes. Non restricted, accuracy is decent, built in bipod. The folder is nice for transporting as well. Makes a neat varmint rifle. :D
