Swiss Arms-Owners speak up about what you dislike

Pricey, selector is somewhat difficult to operate with the shooting hand, magazine rock-in locking system different from standard AR method, heavy steel receiver, removing carbon build-up from gas valve and cylinder lengthy procedure (but will operate even when very heavily fouled), folding stock not all that practical and ejection deforms cases, but apart from that, fantastic firearm. I plan on having all 3 versions when I emerge from subsistence studenting.

Just a question of priorities! Nothing a semester eating a Mr. Noodles only diet from Costco won't cure! Four months later you got yourself a new SIG!:D ...and, been there, done that!;):dancingbanana:

Ah! But the hair will grow back and after a few months back on protein, you're teeth will even start to tighten back up in the gums!:D

don't laugh! I know someone who actually did exactly that! Caught scurvy at uni. Only it was KD rather than Ramen or Ichiban (itchybum!)

my only gripe about my classic green is that it can't be fired folded with the cheek piece attached...other then that it's the best sports-utility gun I have ever owned, to put up with the weight I purchased a phantom pack for hiking....my ar friends can't do that..

It's probably best if I post this in there.

Was at the gunshow in Bern today where Swissarms had a rather big booth (they had a tiny one at the last couple gunshows I was)

Looks like they finally managed to finish their new 553.

Scanned a page of their new (150 pages thick) catalog:

Hey thanks for the update. Looks like the finally addressed the problem that addressed the full-auto 552. Looking forward to the photos.

Awesome !!!! Something to add to my collection :)

I bought a magazine with the Sig 556 on the cover (Yes I know don't groan). It looks good with the CTR stock and the rails.

By the way the question on this thread, is a lot like the wankers who during interviews ask "What is your biggest fault, flaw etc". The answer always ends up being something like you work too hard, or you're too dedicated etc etc.

So the answer. The thing I hate about my PE-90 is that it is too cool looking, and too nice of a firearm :D. That's it's biggest flaw

Honest though, I'd say the usual flaws, price and the cocking handle being on the right instead of the left. Also the mag release system. I prefer an AR style. If only they would put the cocking handle on the left then I think the 556 would be near perfect in the latest CTR and rail configuration.

Actually, being a lefty, it is much better for me having the cocking handle on the right.....

the new 553 is on top. I think this isn't the standard flash hider. This one is for a suppressor.

unfortunately we couldn't take a better picture of the SAPR (55X in .308)

what's the diff between the 552 and the new 553 ?? are they going to ditch the 552 or sell both ?

I like the black finish on the receiver .... any chance in hell we'll ever see a canadian version of this?
