I am going to swap out the green furniture, on my Swiss carbine, for black furniture. I see the stock is held in place by some sort of pin. To remove the stock, do I simply drift out the pin with a punch? It looks as easy as that, but I want to make sure I am not missing some step, before taking a hammer and punch to my $3000 rifle :D

Thanks!

Yes just punch it out also if I remember there was a flat washer inbetween on one side, just take note of the side it was on for reinstalling

Yep. I bought the rifle, new, from TSE a few weeks ago. Green furniture was on the rifle already, and then I bought a complete set of new black furniture at the same time. The black is going to go better with the B&T quad rail I installed.

This may be a dumb question but do you already have the black furniture.

What kind of rail did you get for the Carbine?

Thanks for the advice guys. The swap is done. The only minor issue was a small washer between the pin and the stock, I assume to ensure tightness of fit. Getting that little washer back in place was tough, but I got it in the end.

Green furniture is now in the EE (stock, grip, forend, and cheek riser).

Koalorka... I picked up a B&T quad rail from Wolverine Supplies. $650.
