Swiss Arms rifle using a 50 Beowulf mag - Video

You guys realize that the more videos that get posted with people using these magazines the more the RCMP try to ban them and evey rifle they see in the video?
Do whatever you want but please stop posting vids of it on a public site that is monitored by the anti gun crowd who are just looking for a reason to put something else on the ban list.
Hasn't the SA rifle had enough attention in the last few years without giving them more reason to look at it again? And considering that they're already trying to make the Beowulf mag illegal do you really think it's a good idea to post vids of it being used in yet another rifle?

If you want higher capacity magazines donate to the NFA, CSSA, or the CCFR and ask them to fight for our rights to normal capacity magazines. Finding ways around the laws only gives them reason to change the laws and they never seem to change them in our favor when they try to close a loophole.

The RCMP are fully aware of the situation, videos will not be what brings on the fight. The more people who are aware of them or are using them the more pissed off and motivated people there will be when the #### starts flowing from CFC lab. This is a good thing.

So just to be clear... if there was a Swiss Arms chambered in 50 Beowulf, we'd be good to go filing that small notch in the Beo mag since it would have to be there for the mag to seat so you could shoot 50 Beo ammo. But since no Swiss Arms is chambered in 50 Beo, the notch means the mag has to be pinned to 5...?

No, not exactly. The only way legally that I can see you being allowed to file the notch on the .50 mag for use would be if your rifle was chambered in .50 Beowulf, and therefore you were only using it for .50 Beo caliber in that rifle. Convoluted? Absolutely, but the law has been steadily interpreted as modifying a mag to fit a firearm for an increase in capacity is illegal. However modifying the firearm to accept un-modified mags is good to go. Perfect sense!

I don't agree, the way to fight these stupid capacity laws is up front legally, not having a bunch of p'd off people reacting to something that has already happened.
Drawing their attention to it and rubbing it in their face by posting videos only motivates them to find a way to take them away. Don't forget that we have a Lieberal gov in place now so don't expect any sympathy when we cry. The government, most of the RCMP and a good portion of the brainwashed sheeple populous of Canada don't like us and don't care if we lose our rights to our sport.

If they banned civilian ownership of handguns tomorrow what uprising do you expect to see? I would bet that most of the people on this site would at most sign an online petition, there would be no rallies in front of the Parliament buildings across Canada.

Ummm, I think he may have just did something he shouldn't have. If the lower is dedicated to take AR mags he is good to go. But, if he modified the mag to fit the Swiss arms, the magazine must now be limited to 5 rounds, as the magazine is no longer just for a AR15, but for both a Swiis Arms and an AR.

Can you quote a law, regulation or RCMP memorandum that supports this opinion?
