Swiss Arms rifles being examined for reclassification?

TSE called the RCMP
on a "spurious" rifle from CSC
CSC rifle was proven by the RCMP to be semi auto
2 control samples from ? turned out to be C/A
seems like those control samples then put the whole swiss arms line into question
not for just for being C/A but also a variant of 55X.
also seem like the control samples where imported by TSE, I may be wrong if so some one please correct me.

I would like to know where those two rifles came from,

-who imported them,
-when they were imported,
-how many were in that shipment,

Steve,
For your info, the two reference receivers they got: one was from 2006 import/production, the other was from 2013 import/production.
Source will not be named, so DON'T ASK

- TSE Imported one, and the other was apparently brought in by another retailer
- Apparently one came in in a 2006 Import
- The other apparently from 2013 import
- As for how many, I do not know...

This Thread has long since served it's purpose. Anything else at this point is pointless banter........I propose a lock on this one!!!

Yes, "we." These are the entities "we" support and entrust on our behalf to not f**k things up with respect to the importation and sale of firearms. And when they do, and "we" suffer the consequences - the first thing "we" do is absolve them of any responsibility and give them another chance. So if "we're" not going to hold them accountable for their actions, "we're" just as culpable.

This.

I hate to say it guys I am not down for this collective crap, there was no we, it was a bunch of individuals making bad decision's actually seem's like just one individual making them.

Totally agree. RCMP should revoke their license not make the owners have to suffer the consequences of this guy.

I have questions about the logistics of all this though.

Let's say I'm a swiss arms classic green owner and the rifle gets qualified as prohib, and let's say I'm somewhat of a hermit and I don't come on this forum. Who is ever going to tell me my rifle is now prohibited? As far as I know I'm within my rights to own and operate this rifle as a non restricted firearm. Since the registry is "gone", the government has no legal way to advise me of the new classification, and if they do officially advise me of this new classification, where did they get my information from since the registry is "gone"?

So I go on about my own life and business, taking my nice classic green rifle in the bush to shoot racoons, groundhogs and such, never knowing i'm operating a prohibited firearm. Doesn't this go against everything that the firearms act is supposed to regulate?

This goes so much deeper than most around here are aware of. Let's just stop making these kinds of statements until we get some more to go on.

Here is a question for everyone.....Who do you praise if this all get's fixed at this upcoming meeting with SAN??? Who is attending this meeting? Who is putting forth all the effort to resolve the situation? Who has given up and simply decided to blame the other guy?

There are still way to many questions. It will all come to light sooner or later. Enough of the blame game for now though.

interesting.. thought it was pretty clear, seems I may be wrong.
I guess it is not best to judge with out knowing all the facts, which I do not know.

Don' t dream, nothing is gone, except our rights !!!!

So in the end, thanks to TSE being a "good corporate citizen" calling the RCMP about a competitor's product, the entire line is jeopardized. Amazing.

Elaborate? Seems to me these kinds of mistakes should not go unpunished. Unless you know something that your're keeping secret.
