What do they call these rifle officially on the registration certificates?

Okay, seriously... I have searched the interwebz high and low, and can find no source for GREEN furniture for my Classic Green.

Help a brother out? Anyone got any hints on where to shop?

I just picked up one of these bad boys yesterday. Any idea where I could find a rail for it? I looked around at Can-Am and Wolverine but did not find any.

That is wolverine's swiss arms price list. There is a couple listed under the acceories list.

My certificate says "Swiss Arms" under Make. There is no model on the certificate, but the transfer letter said "Classic Green" as the model.

yes it does. (going from thin plastic to a milled out block of alminum) How much exactly i couldnt say....

Why has this 308 version not come here??

The last I heard was the RCMP wanted to classify it as a variant of the 55X series.

I'm sure one of the dealers could provide some insight into this.

Where did you hear that from? I would think it would be classed as a derivative of the SG54X series like the Black Special/Classic Green line, or as a derivative of those rifles.

What about on the special since you lose the bipod?

It wont make up for it, I dont run the bipod on my classic green (still with the plastic handguards) and with the quad rail it would still be substantially heavier.

My guess is the bipod weighs somewhere in the area of 2-4 oz's? Either way it is not much. I took mine off because it makes gripping the front handguard more positive
