I see them popping up in used inventory of gun stores and on EE. Both black and green, restricted and not.

Is this a sign that people are expecting C-42 being reversed and them getting back into prohibited FRT?

Also a good number of CZ858s are on EE. Same reason?

owning firearms in Canada is always a gamble
owning any semi auto NR firearms in Canada is an even bigger gamble
if youre not mentally prepared for this, best not to own any firearms

A few months back, the EE was flooded with Tavors. Now there's still some but not nearly as many.
Just coincidental trends and maybe a few people here and there paranoid about laws changing is my guess.

There are a few thousands of these floating around , even tens of them popping up it is still 1% in the open market

One has to pick some fights and take some risks in life, might as well let it be over something you enjoy.

But it's not related IMHO, just coincidence.

We see from time to time there are multiple of similar things on EE, 99.9% of times mean nothing.

The 0.1% of cases we can count with one hand......
The few hours after SAN and Cz were last banned.....
When PMags were in short supply and fetched a good price....

Even with c42 reverted. How would they know you own one (except the restricted ones)?

I think they have at least several copies of LGR stashed somewhere. Importers keep records, stores keep records, invoices etc.

Private sales are hard to trace. It would require a serious commitment of resources and manpower to check every PAL holder. But as story of unlawful B&E in High River shows, it is a very real possibility.

As long as they suspect that you have more than 10 firearms they don't need a warrant to search your residence. Also if they suspect that a crime being committed (you posses an "easily convertible to full auto machine gun), they don't need a warrant either.

Then they will just do a dozen of public trials of "gun-toting terrorists" and the rest will fold.

i did, and the act and the charter.

For some reason people think that i am trolling or scaremongering. The point is, if you refuse an inspection, next time they refuse your PAL renewal. Try disputing that in front of a judge .

Any time, if you wife opens the door and lets police in, that's it. it is no longer a warrant less search. Anything LEO sees in your dwelling is a cause for a search.

I was once surprised by RCMP officer in my basement, thanks god my firearms were locked in safe (i was working on hobby model). My kids called 911, and they had to inspect the house and my wife let them in.

Any firearm charge, however ridiculous, will cost me a lawyer and that here in BC is from $5 to $7K, just to get the case in front of the judge.

Just a sign that some of us want to free up a few thousand dollars... to put into other guns :p

I suspect sometimes the trends are because a person who is shopping on the EE sees a gun like one they have for sale & is reminded of it's value, so it motivates them to create a sell ad.
In this case though fellas, i'd be happier with a swiss arms than a handful of cash

If I honestly didnt think the liberals were going to re-class those guns..... I wouldve bought a 858 from wolverine supplys, and possibly a Swiss Arms black special months ago.... BUT in reality, Its posted directly on the gun policy section of their page, whether it be next year, or two years from now, I think their going to change it, and I dont want to be out of pocket 4k.

Mostly coincidence I 5hink. I have also noticed that the EE seems to have trends that are unexplained.
One month it seems like there are lots of win 94 for sale the next israilie mauser rifles, or S&W 686, or ...
I wouldn't read too much into it.
I disagree with Greentips however on how many are floating around. I have done extensive research on the subject and they are one of the few rifles that are unusually susceptible to getting lost in a boating accident.
