Which one is the better NR black rifle? Swiss Arms or ACR, and your reason. Thanks
Full disclosure: I have never owned or shot a Swiss, only handled them in stores.
First, let's assume they have an equal accuracy potential since they are both very good.
In my mind, this makes the ACR the distinct winner because of:
-Stanag mags
-quick barrel change
-caliber conversions
-monolithic upper reciever rail
-ambi controls
-handguard options (Magpul MOE, Picatinny, Keymod, Mlok.

Now that that's out of the way:
Want to run optics on Swiss Arms? - Get the target (pic rail version). There is only one modern optic and mount that has nice ergonomics on a diopter model as designed (I will post a pic later).
Want to mount a bunch of accessories to your rifle? - Get the XCR.
Want to shoot from a bipod with your rifle? - Get the XCR.
Don't want to practice learning to use SAN mags? - Get the XCR.
Want to monkey push of the fore end and not expect a poi change? - Get the XCR.
Want a rifle you can do pushups on and run over? - Get the Swiss Arms.

I was asking for ACR and Swiss Arms actually.
ACR is cheaper and lighter. Swiss Arms is more expensive and heavier.
Built quality? ACR can beat Swiss made rifle?

If you're talking about NR, the ACR is actually more expensive. There were flat-top Black Specials going on the EE for $2500-$2800 recently. Last NR ACR I saw was like $3500.
edit: nvm, theres a NR ACR up for $2800 now.

An XCR is not an ACR
Buddy wants to compare Swiss Arms to ACR
I've owned two different Swiss Arms, and an NR ACR. They were similarly accurate, although I'd give the edge to my ACR. However when you compare features, the ACR wins out, especially with the ability to use AR mags. In a SHTF situation, where the law did not matter, I'd take a 14.5 SA with diopter sights. But for the reality of modern day shooting in Canada, the ACR wins out.
