I finally got the Black Special and the AR mag adapter just arrived today. I am really, really happy the way it turned out! Magazine lock in place solidly, i've cycled manually 60 rounds with not problems. Tomorrow is the range time to test it out this new rig and will update this thread. For now, some Swiss Arms p0rn :)

Looks GREAT! It looks like the mags were made for the rifle. The adapter isn't the most aerodynamic looking thing, but I hope that after your range outing you are back to tell us it gets the job done!!

All together in black it looks great, all black are matching and it look better in person. Beats NEA complete lower I think. I can revert it to the original stock in 1 minute if need it. But functionality first and I will update you tomorrow.

do you need to mod the mags? how does the mag lock in?

I don't have first hand experience with this, but I stayed at a holiday inn once ;). I hope this answers your question.

These handy adaptors cost less that the NEA replacement receivers, require no permanent modifications to your rifle, and allow you to use AR15 magazines and especially the RRA LAR15 10 round mags in your Swiss rifle. You can switch back by simply loosening three screws.

Note the picture of a mounted system is the prototype unit, the individual unit shown second is the production unit. The changes simplified machining and but do not affect utility.

To ensure correct fitting we ask that we do the first installation. Kit includes one modified magazine that can be used to adapt others, or you can purchase spares from us. $225 installed.

All the best with the new adapter, I had one and on my SA CQB, the mags would not seat properly and after the first shot, would drop enough to crush the bullet into the casing, the bolt was shaving the magazine. Hope yours does well.

Out of curiosity, which mags were you using? If the OP doesn't have any of the same problems, perhaps it was do to the mags themselves.

I will know soon enough, heading to the range this morning.

We would also ad that it was not fitted either. We offer the fitting of the kits at no extra charge to avoid problems like this.

Range report

First 200 rounds went without a hiccup, then I've had 3 rounds misfeed and noticed that 2 big screws got loose. After tightening them up all came back to normal. I think I would add to instructions applying blue Locktite on screws to prevent them going loose. Overall - very good performance.

P.S. For the love of God - just gave us a freaking normal capacity mags so we can use magazines that are designed for the rifle rather than creating those mutants! :p

I hear where your coming from, but my brain says: Why Mutanize it at all? Why not just run it the way it's supposed to be run and work on becoming more efficient at magazine changes? To each their own I suppose. It's your rifle.

That's a nice speed reload!

You probably have me beat, and I consider myself pretty fast.
