Fellas I am in a pickle.

I have a line on a Swiss Arms black special. I am aware that the turd buglars and the fart suckers over at the RCMP currently have their panties in a twist over the Classic Green version.

Has anybody heard anything at this point in time? Gazing into your crystal ball...would you buy one right now?
 
Nobody has heard anything at this point. Those in the know have put together their proposals and are purposely tight lipped. Any speculation at this point does no good to the classification. I'll sum it up with a great quote from Steve Janes.

Get writing letters (click here for some copy, paste, sign your name and mail out examples) and keep it up until there is a decision that comes in from the firearms lab. If you've already got some letters out get your friends and family to do the same.

Only thing more I will add is: Yes, I would buy it.....But keep in mind, a lot of people think I'm insane ;) and if my OTB test didn't prove that, then nothing will.....LOL

Black Special, Classic Green, Red Devil, Blue Star, etc.....all models are under rcmp review, the particular rifle your looking at being a black special as opposed to a classic green makes zero difference.

If I had the money (which I do not), I would still buy more of them, regardless of whats taking place right now. I want a carbine (14.3" barrel version), and maybe a CQB someday :)

I would, and did (a CQB) last week.

I have read every post, on every thread posted on this subject - I even had the 'counselling session' from the local gun shop (are ya sure?).

Everything will be fine - no facts to bear this out of course, but I gotta feeling (kind of a guttural, menstrual, hormonal thing .....).

Heh, heh, - well it works for my wife - and she's always right (or so she says ...)

I personally wouldn't spend 3500$+ on it unless you are willing to:
A) Hand it in if it gets reclassified tomorrow, or a year from now.
B) IF it gets reclassified say "what Black Special? that was sold/lost a while back".

Its your call at the end of the day, how much that money means to you if it does get reclassified, with this lingering over our heads you have to think the worst case scenario..

He!!, I bought a Black Special Target after I heard of the goings on. I was in talks with the guy I bought it from before hearing about it, and decided to get it anyway. Even if it is determined to be prohib (and maybe I'm being optimistic here in saying I don't think it will), I expect that compensation will be given. If not, It'll be one heck of a class action law suit! Haha!!
 
Well. I won't touch it until everything clear out
I really love to get one. But I just don't feel throwing $3000-3500 out of the window

and whoever think they can hide it. They are playing with fire
Own a prohibited device without prohibited PAL can cause 7 years charge
If you get caught. Even you luckily get out but the lawyer fee will kill you for sure

For me it's just a hobby and not worth the risk
But it's just me
