Ash it is - didn't read that.
Mainly pointing out it wasn't of preferable hickory and grain is not the best alignment. Didn't stop me from buying.
 
Ok if I keep hearing about this I may have to buy a second set!

Picked up some Minwax Gun Stock stain.. going to give it a nice boiled linseed oil finish after the stain.
