Swiss k 31 Accuracy

I have the mount diopter shows in his post. I was also skeptical about the clamping method, but it has not given trouble in somewhat over 100 rounds so far at the range. I have not carried the rifle in the field with it yet to know how that works out.

No need to mess with finding and tweaking .284 brass, Trade Ex has new PRVI brass for sale, as do other site sponsors and the PRVI brass is much higher quality than the Winchester stuff.

I have been neck sizing so far with no issues, but I am only on my third firing of the first batch of brass. Note that the K31 has an extremely short throat and needs bullets seated very deep.

I agree, Prvi brass has been working for me just great! Im on the 8th load with my first 50 brass (annealed after the 5th fire). I been full length sizing them after each fire and they still look great! Also agree about the short throat, I had to play with the COL with the first batch so that my bolt would close effortlessly without that extra palm strike...

I have a question for diopter and our other K31 experts: Does anybody have details of the ~174gr bullet used in the GP11 ammo? I am curious to see what the ogive shape is and how they are seated to avoid jamming the lands. If I had any GP11 here I would just pull one to see, but I am not mail ordering some just to satisfy my curiosity.

Looking for drawings or just an explanation?
The entire bullet tapers from the tip to the point where the boat tail starts, which is .3075"
At the case mouth the bullet measures .306"±.
That's where the odd measures you hear occasionally about are from. no parallel shank.
As for slope, do not have the tools.
