My Swiss shoots to far to the left and I hate having the front sight way over to one side. I thought i saw on here once, somebody had a rear sight that was windage adjustable. Some business maybe in Alberta?

How are the front sights adjusted on the K31?

Mine also appears over to one side...is that the normal spot or would that have been to get it on target?

The windage adjustable rear sights for sale, are they from Switzerland? Any issues with them?

When you open a box of KP11 ammo, are there stripper clips in the box, or they are a separate item?

I just sighted mine in at the Stittsville Range this past weekend and those tools would have been very nice to have. I had to resort to the old brass punch and fine adjustment tool (hammer). It was shooting at least 7 inches to the right and 7 inches high at 50 yards. My old eyes are telling me its time for a no gunsmithing scope mount for the K31.

Do it - best money I've spent on a scope mount, and the least hassle of any as well. So far I've strapped a no gunsmithing mount on mine, as well as a windage/elevation adjustable dial rear sight and clamp on muzzle brake. Unfortunately the taller front sight for the micrometer rear sight uses the same clamping space as the muzzle brake, so I'm looking at having a taller front sight blade made to fit in where the current one is. Will probably start sniffing around for a cheap bipod mount soon, or make one...:p:D ..... it may soon weigh double what it did stock, but it'll be the most accurate milsurp there is!

7 inches right,. did the front sight have enough room without crowding the protective dog ears ( thats what i always called them) too much?

If you have the Swiss Products diopter, just move the front sight back towards the handguard/stock enough to allow the clamp-on brake to fit around the original front sight base. Need a picture?

Swiss Products Bi-pod adapter really makes it easy. Just have to use the original front action screw to hold everything against the stock and the leather pads secure it sideways. Worth the few bucks(<$100.00)

what does this Diopter sight look like when on rifle? does it need gunsmithing?
is it this one 5th pic from top. http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=622630

No Gunsmithing at all.
Two types of diopters.
Original W&F as sold by the the Shooting center in the above link

Different angles and internal view of W&F diopter. Iris size is adjusted by choice of iris holes drilled through an iris disc which can be selected by rotating the disc.

Comparison of W&F iris thread on right to stndard Anschutz thread as used by Swiss products diopter. W&F is same thread and size as used on Parker Hale iris. One shown on right is a Gehmann made Iris for the W&F diopter.

Front sight assemblies use Lyman 17A inserts.

Or the new 100Oyds ones made by Swiss Products. Includes front sight assembly and a standard Anschutz or Gehmann Iris and one front sight insert(Anschutz M18 size) and diopter can be move back and forth a bit for eye relief.

Note that where you place your head, cheek weld, will change POI with any sights used on the K31. Look for a repeatable, comfortable head position. I use my thumb as a spacer between the bolt ring and my nose to go back to same spot.
