Swiss Rifle Magazines

Cosmetic - I like the 5/20s.

Shooting Prone - the 5/30s are the way to go for all the reasons above.

Shooting standing and sitting (or squatting)...the factory 5 rounders are the cat's ass as they allow you to suck that support arm close to the body (ie: elbow to the gut) and close to the rifle when resting the gun on your palm via the bottom of the magazine.

TangoKilo,

There are some of us shooting Service Rifle in Lethbridge. Mostly practice and then we drive up to the APRA range and shoot the regular Alberta Scheduled matches.

We have heard that there is a large group of service rifle guys that shoot at shepard but they never come out to the APRA range to shoot. I don't know why but I'd like to get more service rifle shooters out. A group of us drive from Lethbridge but Edmonton guys almost never come down.

"...Are the mags used as a monopod..." No. That can cause feeding issues.
A 5 round mag is not a standard size. They're usually made out of larger mags. Hence the higher cost.

How can resting the mag cause feeding issues if it is locked in? Putting weight on it does not change anything.
