Just saw Al Flaherty's post saying they had them at $2249 with free shipping. It will also be interesting to see how wide the price spread is among the various dealers. I suppose the higher the price of the gun the more room there is for variations in pricing. Wonder if we'll see $1999.99 for Black Friday somewhere?

14-1500 US$ seems to be current street pricing in the U.S., Can$2249 is wayyy over the top.

Best look again:p

These new US made are not P210. They are look a likes.

Original P210 locks like brownings with barrel lugs to a slide. This new US P210 locks on chamber to ejection port. This means barrels won't fit, slides won't fit. They moved slide stop and safety and the way it looks to me that changed the trigger mechanism so tigger parts are not interchangeable.

So if all these do not match between original P210s and a new one, how is this still a P210?

And for $2249 it becomes completely unreasonable for me. German made X-Five price for a fake 210.

There is a lad on one of the SIG forums who is known to be very knowledgeable about the P210. While he acknowledges the gun is not true to the original, he feels the changes are advantageous.

I am not a good shot, but the US version was very accurate in my hands.

A German X Five would be at least a grand more.

Well, I'm not against changes and updates. However you should agree that if you know say Glock 17 for its qualities, you won't buy a look like glock but 1911 mechanics inside. Or if you like it is "striker fired Hi-Power".

This is not P210. It might be better pistol, but it is not what P210 was and means mechanically.

However, if you remove "legendary name" P210 and look at it as it is - A NEWLY DESIGNED all metal pistol the price makes no sense. You can get 2 CZ Shadows or a Tanfoglio or a lot of other all steel nice guns.

Other than the lock-up, the other design features remain intact. Yes, it has been modernized.

Call me a purist, that is not an X-Five Short. Maybe it is a German P226. I do love the Classic P Series!

I avoid the X Five Short, as supposedly no hand fitting is done to this model. This may or may not be true.

I'm sure it will be an accurate pistol in it's own way. Comparable to an original version from Neuhausen, never. Not even close to what Sig Sauer GmbH is making today.

But at around $2k today and probably less if our currency can get closer to par in the near future, it's a good buy considering that a basic 226 with some added bling sells for close to $1700.

It sure won't bring the price of the originals down but it will be more affordable and more widely available for the casual shooter who wish to own a cheaper copy of one of the best service pistol to ever be manufactured. It will never be a collector piece nor command high prices as they will pump out these pistols out of Exeter in various flavors at an excessive rate.

Sig should have just produced an American made CZ 75. Single stack guns are super ghey.

I must be a little slow on the uptake today. I actually had to Google "ghey"

Sig P210's can be described in a lot of ways but that isn't one of them. :rey2

I was half way tempted by these but I've bought a MR88, a WW II 1911 and a HK P7 recently....time to wait for the money tree to put out some more blooms. ;)

I expect Sig in Exeter will continue to crank these out so I'm thinking they won't be unicorns the way the German ones are.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's an excellent target pistol but even in a target pistol I refuse to voluntarily accept low magazine capacity. All single stack pistols are lame.

Now if they would make it double stack that would be a nice pistol... Kinda sounds like a CZ75 though...

I really have to disagree with you there. P210s...1911's....Lugers...HK P7's....wartime P38's.... Radom Viz....none of those guns are even remotely lame

I guess I should explain that remark. Obviously guns of historic value that are single stack are good. I would love an old 1911 or Luger.

However, this gun is a modern single stack production pistol with no historical value and is thus lamesauce.
