cleaning up an estate for a friend and ended up with a pile of older ammo. some collectible some not would like to get an idea what its value is, ill be looking to move it as one lot, not worth the hassle to break it up.
1.several boxes of CIL-Dominion in various calibers. the closed boxes are full with the exception of one of the 38-55's is missing two cartridges. the 25-20 has one end flap missing. the later imperial box is 30-30.
2. Winchester 40-70 containing 16 loaded cartridges. from what ive found on the web this is from the late 1890's- early 1900's, and is somewhat valuable. ranging anywhere from $200-$700, depending on condition.
3. 1923 made Dominion .455 Colt, containing 15 455 colts and 11 slightly shorter cartridges also Dominion made in 1923 but no caliber on the headstamp I believe are 455 Webley. even has factory packing slip.
4. partial box of Kynoch 577 Snider. box flap is torn off some cases are corroded.
5. cigar box full of mixed stuff, lots of .25-20, 38-40, 44-40. some of the rarer stuff left to right is Eley #5 Gas seal cartridge, 25-20, 25-35, 6.5x54, 32-40, 35 WSL, 351 WSL, 9.3x74R (I think) 43 Mauser x 2, 577/450 Martini.
6. assorted .22 ammo, mostly CIL, and 3 boxes of soviet, looks to have a very heavy bullet. the box of 22 long shot is full.
and finally a Swiss Vetterli 41 Swiss rimfire. gun is very good shape, no rust nice patina, no cracks in the wood and an incredible bore, good clean rifling and nary a pit to be seen.
