How many of these made it into the country? I picked up a 17" flattop carbine a few years back at P&D and they had 1 more at the time. Who else has one of these? (iron sights counts too)

I picked one up as well, I think it was the last one they had. As far as I know none of the 17.9's came with irons other than the crappy back ups

Would someone post a pic, it would be great to have one with an 18.5 barrel and short gas system like on the 17.0 barrel. Non restricted and somewhat lighter then the 20". The Ar15 just balances a lot better for me, one of the reasons why I sold my clasic green, that and the fact it was a safe queen.
How much lighter is the 17.0 model compared to the 20"?

Swiss Arms site says 1.06 lbs.

I believe the carbines are restricted...

These are from BKP99's collection:

It sucks that the longer carbine is restricted. Darn :mad::mad:

Any one knows why the Black Special and the longer carbine or Swat model have a bulge in the barrel, just a few inches from the compensator? I could never figure that out.

The "bulge" is for rifle launched grenades.
