I think that was the cause of the disease, not the cure. I don't think there is a cure, but it is a nice disease to have. The K31 is a great rifle, hopefully mine will collect a deer or two this fall.

Once you get the SHOTS(GP11), it become incurable, and can cause blindness, and apathy to plain, utilitarian milsurps.

Makes you want to try to buy a Boys anti-tank rifle just because the cocking piece is a ring!

;)

Thnx for the replies!! not only do these rifles have their own look but they also have their own scent which is bad for a swissitus sufferer. the only solution is to run swiss army grease in between your fingers, take a good wiff to open up the focus valve, and apply to rifle metal. this will relieve symptoms somewhat until the next application is needed. oh my my, whats that Doc? i need another one....... ok Doc! Very nice... I was able to score the '33 & '38 K-31's and my wife is making me sell one.

I think I will ask WAAAAY too much for it, haha.

Can't seem to source out any ammo for them though & I don't re-load yet. Do you have any leads?

I bought one at a auction for $35 bucks as they said the action was seized and could not be opened.I was able to buy it for a parts gun with no registration and took it off safe so it worked again. The only problem is it had no mag with it and never did find one.

Does the K31 have a safety? Is it pull the cocking piece back and rotate to the other slot?

I just got my first ever the other day, from Weimejack...it's in beautiful shape. Nice dark wood with figure. Does anyone know what kind of wood that would be? Walnut or??
It has 1942 on the bolt sleeve.

You did well!
Want me to ask Guisan if he has any mags?

I know Gunparts has the Indian made ones. recently better made than the first batch. ordering from US can be hit or miss.

Walnut until late 44/45. Beech after that for the most part. Some walnut stocks were "found" in later years and used as the need arose.

Yours is really nice walnut

not sure, but i think tradeex has k31 mags? Cantom- very sweet rifle- B2

Thanks! The metal finish on the receiver is as new...really pretty much perfect. Bore is too...a very nice rifle.

The wood is dinged up here and there, obviously was handled and used.

BTW, I was told that surplus rifles are going extinct...pretty much every country now is destroying everything that goes surplus. :(
