All depends what you’re trying to do!
For the most part I only travel with a single barrel that’s on the rifle as my switch barrel is really a hunting setup.
I always planned to get a two gun pelican case and set it up for one rifle plus 2 extra barrels, mags etc. similar to what blazer offers. Downside is the big cases suck
Currently I use a soft small gun case for a spare barrel and then the rifle goes into the hard pelican single gun case I have. I heard a whisper once upon a time that there is a sniper drag bag style case that actually has a slot for a spare barrel.
When it comes to protection there are a couple ways I’ve seen it! You can get machined end caps that fit perfect over the threads on your muzzle and tenon without issue. There is an outfit that makes them in the states not sure about Canada. You can buy conduit rubber caps that slip overtime and provide protection as well they tend to be popular cause they are easy to find in all sorts of sizes. Another option I’ve seen is a canvas style sleeve that fits the barrel and some even have a rifle bolt pocket on the top, again more so in the states.
For the most part travelling with a spare barrel isn’t something I’ve done seeing as I hurt my back last year and only just starting rehab now (that’s work safe for ya) if I was doing competitions and travelling with a spare I’d get the double gun pelican and just cut the foam to fit out some rubber caps over the tenon and muzzle and leave it at that.
For hunting I’m not bringing a spare barrel. Unless I’m going to someone’s house or cabin I can store tools and such at because trying to re sight in a scope because I’m switching barrels on a hunt can get annoying. I just bring a spare rifle at that point.
Edit: sorry if I repeat myself I’m on my phone and not a computer…

You could get barrel sleeves like what TAB Gear makes:

Thanks for your post!
That's one good option as well but seems nobody carry this in Canada as well.
Will just keep searching for more options.
Out of stock. I’m hopeful that someone in Canada will be able to make them. Asked a few places but nobody has said yes yet. Might just buy a sewing machine and make them myself haha.

If all you're looking for is thread protection, Area 419 and few other places make nice machined aluminum thread protectors.
You can also 3D print them for a few dollars. My buddy printed this up for me and it severs double duty as hanging storage at home.

Pretty sure they're threaded in after. Should have mentioned that.. may not be as easy as I first assumed.
have you checked out Negrini cases? Lots of different formats; two gun/takedown, single gun w/ multiple barrels, etc. Nice compact cases that are way lighter than the pelican option and still airline approved.

How do you guys carry your switch barrel set up in your gun case and how do you protect the threads for the breech end?
Looking for ideas on what size gun case or how to organize it.
