Is this possible? I saw some 700P's on sale in 6.8mm and am thinking this would be a poor calibre choice as i dont reload yet and have seen nowhere that carries it.

How much would it cost to buy a good .223rem barrel and have them swap it for the 6.8mm barrel?

Also, would I have any problems selling the unfired 6.8mm barrel?

Thanks

It would have to be one HELL of a sale to make the $700-900 cost of re-barreling and bolt work economically worthwhile

I would have to guess somewhere around $350 for a barrel and another $300+ to chamber it and install it to your action, plus you would have to get a new bolt with a .223 bolt face as the 6.8 has .422 rim and the .223 has a .378 rim.

If you can find someone with a .223 take off then you might be able to get in it for under $300 total I would guess.
