Switching Vortex PST to Razor

Not yet, waiting for a sale at the end of the month.
As for the gen 2 PST, I havent heard anything about improved clarity, and the price point does not support them having better glass then the gen 1 PST.

I have the vortex razor HD Gen2, and my cousin has the PST Gen1. I can tell you now, that their is zero comparison from the Razor to the viper PST. The Razor completely blows it right out of left field. The PST is a great scope, and comparing it to the gen2 PST, I don't see much of a difference other than a few mils of elevation etc etc on the gen2 PST... Not much to really warrant a few extra bucks on a new market PST Gen 2.
If you have the money to throw on a razor hd, get it! You won't be disappointed. I have it mounted onto my 338 Lapua cadex with spuhr and couldn't be happier. The PST is also a great scope if you can't afford the Razor! Hope this helps!

Yes it does, however I really adore the look and the weight of the gen2. Other then the AMG being manufactured in the U.S, I didn't really see much more into getting it. The looks of the Gen 2 really sold me.

I ended up going with a Kahles 624i in the end. Absolutely no regrets. I still plan on getting a Razor for my next build, but that's still a ways away.

I honestly don't know much about that brand. How do they compare with S&B, Vortex, Nightforce etc? If you don't mind me asking, how much did you end up picking it up for?

Congrats on your Kahles purchase.

Just a thought, but if you are looking at a Vortex Razor purchase in the future, do not overlook the possibility of a Sightron SIII as an option (similar price point and great optics for the price).

The glass is neck and neck with my S&B 5-25 and dare I say a little better then my NF competition....? Better then the PST, but I don't have enough time behind a Razor to compare.
I went with the left hand windage, took a couple of range trips to get the hang of it, but very handy. Tracking is spot on, less then 1% error on the tall target test. The parallax ring is also at the base of the elevation knob, handy and the distance numbers are very close to the true position. So much so that at 800m and less, I just move the ring and don't bother head-bobbing anymore.
I got it from Plainsight for a hair over $3700 to my door.

I've had a number of Sightrons in the past, good scopes. But if they want to enter the PRS-stype market, they really need to add illumination, zero-stop and more reticle choices. If they can add those and keep it around the PST gen 2 price point, they would be considered a lot more. The SIII's (SFP) that I had easily had better glass then the PST gen 1.
