Im currently shooting an SX3, been fairly decent gun the odd malfunction with cheap ammo. I have a chance at a SBE II for a great price, it shoulders well, feels great in hand and am wondering if it is more reliable then the SX3? Would a duck hunter really notice the difference between the 2? I wish I could shoot it but can't and dont have long to sit on the deal.

Cheers!!

I have hunted many years with both of those shotguns and can say you cannot go wrong with either one. Personally the benelli is nice because you can get right inside there and clean it well. I personally like the inertia guns however that does not say that gas guns are worse. If it shoulders well and you enjoy it then that about sums it up. You may see a little more foreend flex with the SBE but that’s nothing more than me being picky. Once you find the ammo that patterns best in either gun the ducks won’t have a chance.
With the sbe3 out now a good deal on a 2 is very tempting. They are proven guns and han last a lifetime in the blind.

No experience with the Winchester. Have an SBE 1, M1, M2 and a friend of mine shoots the SBE II. I don't find the recoil to be any issue with any of the Benelli's. I find that they shoulder very well, are extremely reliable and point / swing very well. I'd opt for the SBE II. If you're shooting a lot of light loads and have no use for the 3.5" 12 then check out the 3" M2.
