Hey guys .. I am more about precision and tactical arms, but have gone outside my element and purchased an older double barrel 12 gauge. I want to chop it off to create a coach gun of sorts.
I am completely unfamiliar with the gun and wondered about a couple things. First of all, the hand guard is removable and has a spring loaded box that appears to be related to the operation of the ejectors. How does this work? Is this also a means of taking barrel off? (take down)
Second .. once hinged and cocked, a small button on the top of the grip slides forward. Is this an auto safety? How does this system work?
Lastly .. I can't seem to get the front trigger to dry fire. The back trigger works fine. Is this the result of not having shells in the gun or simply a problem with the trigger assembly itself?
Any assistance on the operation of this thing would be appreciated!!!
